Shellabear 2010: Tengah hari Ilyas mengolok-olok mereka, katanya, “Panggillah dengan suara nyaring! Bukankah dia itu dewa? Mungkin ia sedang berpikir, mungkin sedang pergi, mungkin sedang dalam perjalanan. Jangan-jangan ia tertidur dan harus dibangunkan.”


AYT: Saat siang hari, Elia mengejek mereka, katanya, “Panggil dengan suara nyaring! Sebab dialah ilah. Mungkin dia sedang dalam perenungan, atau mungkin sedang ada urusan, atau mungkin dia sedang berada di jalan, mungkin dia sedang tidur dan harus dibangunkan.”

TB: Pada waktu tengah hari Elia mulai mengejek mereka, katanya: "Panggillah lebih keras, bukankah dia allah? Mungkin ia merenung, mungkin ada urusannya, mungkin ia bepergian; barangkali ia tidur, dan belum terjaga."

TMV: Pada tengah hari, Elia mula mengolok-olok mereka, "Berdoalah lebih kuat lagi!" katanya. "Baal tuhan, bukan? Mungkin dia sedang melamun atau pergi ke tandas. Mungkin juga dia sedang pergi ke tempat lain! Atau mungkin juga dia sedang tidur, dan kamu harus membangunkan dia!"

FAYH: Menjelang tengah hari Elia mulai mencemooh mereka, "Berserulah lebih keras lagi, sehingga allah kalian akan memperhatikan kalian. Mungkin allah kalian sedang termenung, atau sedang mengurus sesuatu, atau sedang bepergian, atau sedang tidur dan harus dibangunkan!"

ENDE: Ketika hari sudah siang, Elija mulai meng-edjek2 mereka, katanja: "Berserulah lebih lantang. Ia kan dewa! Kiranja ia sedang bermenung atau berak atau sedang dalam perdjalanan! Boleh djadi ia tertidur dan akan bangun!"

Shellabear 1912: Adapun pada tengah hari diolok-olokkan Elia akan orang-orang itu katanya: "Teriak kuat-kuat karena ialah suatu dewa entah ia berfikir-fikirkah atau ada suatu pekerjaan atau ada ia dalam perjalanannya atau barangkali ia tertidur dan hendaklah disadarkan akan dia."
