TMV: lalu berjalan sepanjang hari ke padang gurun. Kemudian dia berhenti dan duduk di bawah sebatang pokok; dia ingin mati. Dia berdoa, "Penderitaan ini terlalu berat bagiku, ya TUHAN. Ambillah nyawaku, lebih baik aku mati!"


AYT: Namun, dia sendiri pergi ke padang gurun, sehari perjalanan jauhnya dan tiba, serta duduk di bawah sebuah pohon arar, dia meminta supaya dia mati saja, katanya, “Cukuplah sekarang, ya TUHAN! Ambillah nyawaku, karena aku tidak lebih baik daripada nenek moyangku.”

TB: Tetapi ia sendiri masuk ke padang gurun sehari perjalanan jauhnya, lalu duduk di bawah sebuah pohon arar. Kemudian ia ingin mati, katanya: "Cukuplah itu! Sekarang, ya TUHAN, ambillah nyawaku, sebab aku ini tidak lebih baik dari pada nenek moyangku."

FAYH: Ia sendiri pergi ke padang belantara, sehari perjalanan jauhnya. Lalu ia duduk di bawah sebuah pohon yang rindang dan berdoa agar ia boleh mati. "Sudah saja TUHAN, cabutlah nyawa hamba sekarang, sebab hamba ini tidak lebih baik daripada nenek moyang hamba," katanya.

ENDE: Adapun ia sendiri masuk gurun sehari perdjalanan djauhnja. Setibanja disana, ia lalu duduk dibawah pohon dadap dan bermohon, supaja mati sadja. Katanja: "Sudah tjukuplah sekarang, ja Jahwe! Ambillah njawaku, sebab aku ini tidak lebih baik daripada nenek-mojangku".

Shellabear 1912: Tetapi Elia itu pergilah seorang dirinya kira-kira sehari perjalanan jauhnya di tanah belantara lalu datang duduk di bawah poko ratim maka dipohonkannya bagi dirinya supaya mati sembahnya: "Telah cukuplah ya Allah sekarang ambillah kiranya akan nyawaku karena aku ini tidak lebih baik dari pada nenek moyangku."
