ERV: Ehud then left the main room, and the servants went back in. The servants found the doors to the upper room locked, so they said, “The king must be relieving himself in his private toilet.”


AYT: Setelah dia keluar, para hamba datang. Ketika mereka melihat pintu kamar atas itu terkunci, mereka berkata, “Pasti dia sedang membuang hajat di kamar peranginan itu.”

TB: Baru saja ia keluar, datanglah hamba-hamba raja melihat, tetapi pintu kamar atas itu terkunci. Lalu berkatalah mereka: "Tentulah ia membuang air di kamar rumah peranginan itu."

TL: Setelah sudah ia keluar datanglah hamba-hamba raja, dilihatnya bahwasanya pintu alayat itu terkunci, maka kata mereka itu: Niscaya baginda berselimutkan kakinya dalam bilik peranginan.

MILT: Ketika dia telah keluar, datanglah para pelayan raja untuk melihat, tetapi ternyata pintu kamar atas itu terkunci. Mereka berkata, "Tentulah dia sedang buang air di kamar rumah peranginan itu."

KSKK: Ketika ia sudah pergi, datanglah para pelayan dan mendapatkan bahwa pintu-pintu ruangan atas seluruhnya terkunci. Mereka berpikir, "Raja pasti sedang buang air di kamar yang sejuk itu".

VMD: Kemudian Ehud pergi melalui ruang tamu dan para hamba raja masuk. Ketika mereka melihat bahwa pintu kamar terkunci, mereka menduga ia sedang buang air di kamar kecilnya.

BIS: kemudian pergi. Ketika para hamba raja datang dan menemukan pintu-pintu kamar itu terkunci, mereka menyangka raja masih berada di dalam dan sedang ke belakang.

ENDE: Baru sadja ia keluar, datanglah para pendjawat melihat, tetapi pintu andjung itu terkantjing. Pikir mereka: "Tentunja ia sedang kada hadjat didalam kamar sedjuk".

Shellabear 1912: Apabila ia sudah keluar lalu datanglah hamba-hamba raja itu dilihatnya pintu peranginannya itu telah terkunci maka katanya: "Tak dapat tiada tuanku ke sungai dalam bilik peranginannya ini."
