TB: yakni orang-orang muda yang tidak ada sesuatu cela, yang berperawakan baik, yang memahami berbagai-bagai hikmat, berpengetahuan banyak dan yang mempunyai pengertian tentang ilmu, yakni orang-orang yang cakap untuk bekerja dalam istana raja, supaya mereka diajarkan tulisan dan bahasa orang Kasdim.


AYT: yaitu orang-orang muda yang dalam keseluruhannya tidak bercela, elok rupanya, cerdas dalam berbagai kebijaksanaan, berpengetahuan luas, mengerti ilmu, dan yang memiliki kemampuan untuk mengabdi dalam istana raja, dan agar mereka diajarkan tulisan dan bahasa orang Kasdim.

TL: yaitu beberapa orang muda-muda yang satupun tiada celanya, dan yang baik parasnya dan beradab dan berbudi dan bijaksana dan senang diajar, yang layak akan mengerjakan pekerjaan dalam istana baginda, supaya mereka itu diajarkan suratan dan bahasa orang Kasdim.

MILT: yakni orang-orang muda yang tidak bercela, berpenampilan baik dan mahir dalam berbagai hikmat, memiliki pengetahuan dan pengertian tentang ilmu, sehingga mereka dengan kemampuannya siap melayani dalam istana raja; dan mengajar mereka tulisan dan bahasa orang Kasdim.

Shellabear 2010: Mereka adalah orang-orang muda yang sama sekali tidak ada cacatnya, bagus perawakannya, memahami segala hikmat, berpengetahuan luas, mengerti ilmu, dan yang cakap untuk mengabdi dalam istana raja. Mereka harus diajari tulisan dan bahasa orang Kasdim.

KS (Revisi Shellabear 2011): Mereka adalah orang-orang muda yang sama sekali tidak ada cacatnya, bagus perawakannya, memahami segala hikmat, berpengetahuan luas, mengerti ilmu, dan yang cakap untuk mengabdi dalam istana raja. Mereka harus diajari tulisan dan bahasa orang Kasdim.

VMD: Raja Nebukadnezar hanya mencari anak muda yang sehat yang tidak bercacat atau luka. Ia mencari yang tampan dan pintar yang dapat belajar dengan cepat dan segera menolong di istana. Ia menyuruh Aspenas mengajarkan bahasa dan tulisan Kasdim kepada mereka.

BIS: Mereka harus pemuda-pemuda yang tak bercacat. Mereka harus tampan, berpendidikan tinggi, cerdas dan berpengetahuan luas serta patut untuk bertugas di dalam istana. Aspenas harus mengajar mereka membaca dan menulis bahasa Babel.

TMV: Mereka harus kacak, berpendidikan tinggi, cerdas, dan berpengetahuan luas serta tidak cacat, supaya mereka dapat berkhidmat di istana raja. Aspenas diperintah supaya mengajar mereka membaca dan menulis bahasa Babilonia.

ENDE: pemuda2 jang tak bertjela serta tampan rupanja, paham dalam segenap kebidjaksanaan, berpengetahuan luas dan berpengertian tentang ilmu, lagi tjakap untuk mengabdi didalam istana radja. Iapun harus mengadjar mereka dalam sastera dan bahasa Chaldai.

Jawa 1994: Yakuwi nonoman sing bagus rupané, wasis, trampil, gampang nampani piwulang, lan awaké tanpa cacad, supaya mbésuk bisa ngladèni apa mesthiné ana ing kraton. Aspenas kudu mulang nonoman mau maca lan nulis basa Babil.

Sunda: Nu dipilih kudu nu karasep, seukeut uteuk, cukup didikan, calakan, tur mulus walagri, sangkan bisa diangkat jadi abdi karaton. Ku Aspenas kudu diajar maca jeung nulis dina basa Babul.

Madura: Reng-oreng jareya kodu ngangodhadan se tadha’ calena. Kodu gantheng, tenggi sakola’anna, penter ban lebar pangataowanna sarta patot epalako e karaton. Aspenas kodu ngajari ngangodhadan jareya maca ban noles basa Babil.

Bali: Sane kapilih punika patut anak sane bagus, pradnyan, sampun polih paurukan sane becik, cacep tur nenten madue cacad, mangdane sang kapilih pantes jaga ngaturang ayah ring puri. Dane Aspenas patut ngurukang anake punika ngwacen miwah nulis nganggen basa Babel.

Simalungun: na poso, na so marsining, na majenges, na pandei bani haganup hapentaran, na marpambotoh, na maruhur anjaha na talup marugas i rumah bolon, laho mangajari sidea pasal surat pakon hata ni halak Kasdim.

Toba: Dolidoli angka na so adong tihasna, angka na uli rupa, angka na pantas di sandok hapistaran, angka parhapistaran godang, angka na marroha, jala angka na tau marhalado di bagasan jabu ni rajai, asa ajarhononna tu nasida surat dohot hata ni halak Kasdim.


NETBible: young men in whom there was no physical defect and who were handsome, well versed in all kinds of wisdom, well educated and having keen insight, and who were capable of entering the king’s royal service – and to teach them the literature and language of the Babylonians.

NLT: "Select only strong, healthy, and good–looking young men," he said. "Make sure they are well versed in every branch of learning, are gifted with knowledge and good sense, and have the poise needed to serve in the royal palace. Teach these young men the language and literature of the Babylonians."

GNB: They had to be handsome, intelligent, well-trained, quick to learn, and free from physical defects, so that they would be qualified to serve in the royal court. Ashpenaz was to teach them to read and write the Babylonian language.

ERV: King Nebuchadnezzar wanted only healthy boys who did not have any bruises, scars, or anything wrong with their bodies. He wanted handsome, smart young men who were able to learn things quickly and easily to serve in his palace. He told Ashpenaz to teach these young men the language and writings of the Chaldeans.

BBE: Young men who were strong and healthy, good-looking, and trained in all wisdom, having a good education and much knowledge, and able to take positions in the king’s house; and to have them trained in the writing and language of the Chaldaeans.
