TMV: Oleh itu mereka memakai kain guni pada pinggang dan tali pada leher mereka lalu menghadap Raja Ahab. Mereka berkata, "Hamba tuanku, Raja Benhadad memohon supaya tuanku menyelamatkan nyawanya." Raja Ahab bertitah, "Adakah baginda masih hidup? Baiklah! Baginda seolah-olah saudara beta sendiri!"


AYT: Mereka melilitkan kain kabung pada pinggang mereka dan tali-tali pada kepala mereka, serta menghadap raja Israel dan berkata, “Hambamu Benhadad berkata, ‘Kumohon, biarkan aku tetap hidup.’” Jawabnya, “Apakah dia masih hidup? Dia adalah saudaraku.”
