Toraja: Ke’de’mi tu datu sola mintu’ surodadunna lako Yerusalem, la urrarii to Yebus, tu torro lan tondok iato. Ma’kadami tu tau iato mai lako Daud nakua: Tae’ mima’din tama mai, mane to buta sia to kupi’ unnula’ikomi, battuananna: tae’ nama’din Daud tama mai.


AYT: Raja dan orang-orangnya pergi ke Yerusalem, melawan orang Yebus penduduk negeri itu. Mereka berkata kepada Daud, "Kamu tidak dapat masuk ke sini. Orang-orang buta dan orang-orang timpang akan menyingkirkanmu." Mereka berpikir, Daud tidak dapat masuk ke sana.

TMV: Pada suatu hari Raja Daud dan anak buah baginda berangkat untuk menyerang Yerusalem. Orang Yebusi yang tinggal di situ menyangka bahawa Raja Daud tidak sanggup mengalahkan kota itu. Mereka berkata kepadanya, "Engkau tidak sekali-kali dapat masuk ke sini. Bahkan orang buta dan tempang pun dapat mengusir engkau."

FAYH: Kemudian Daud memimpin pasukannya ke Yerusalem untuk bertempur melawan orang Yebus, penduduk negeri itu. Mereka berkata kepada Daud, "Kalian tidak mungkin memasuki kota ini. Bahkan orang-orang buta dan orang-orang timpang pun sanggup mengalahkan kalian!" Karena mereka mengira bahwa mereka akan selamat dari serbuan itu.

ENDE: Radja (Dawud) pergi bersama dengan orang2nja ke Jerusjalem melawan orang2 Jebus, penduduk daerah itu. Mereka itu berkata kepada Dawud: "Tak dapatlah engkau masuk kemari! Malah orang buta dan lumpuh akan menegahkan dikau!" (Adapun maksudnja: "Dawud tidak akan masuk kemari!")

Pada sangkanya tiada dapat Daud masuk ke situ.
