Madura: O, tang dara se badha e ke’-lekke’na bato, e pangeteggan e bung-lambungnga gunong se durjet, mara patao robana ba’na ka sengko’, mara pakaedhing sowarana, sabab robana ba’na raddin, sowarana tenne.


AYT: Oh merpatiku, di celah-celah bukit batu, di persembunyian di tempat-tempat yang curam, biarkan aku memandang penampilanmu, biarkan aku mendengar suaramu. Sebab, suaramu itu merdu, dan penampilanmu itu elok!

TB: Merpatiku di celah-celah batu, di persembunyian lereng-lereng gunung, perlihatkanlah wajahmu, perdengarkanlah suaramu! Sebab merdu suaramu dan elok wajahmu!"
