Then Moses<4872> and the elders<2205> of Israel<3478> charged<6680> the people<5971>, saying<559>, "Keep<8104> all<3605> the commandments<4687> which<834> I command<6680> you today<3117>.
"So it shall be on the day<3117> when<834> you cross<5674> the Jordan<3383> to the land<776> which<834> the LORD<3068> your God<430> gives<5414> you, that you shall set<6965> up for yourself large<1419> stones<68> and coat<7874> them with lime<7875>
and write<3789> on them all<3605> the words<1697> of this<2088> law<8451>, when you cross<5674> over<5674>, so<4616> that you may enter<935> the land<776> which<834> the LORD<3068> your God<430> gives<5414> you, a land<776> flowing<2100> with milk<2461> and honey<1706>, as the LORD<3068>, the God<430> of your fathers<1>, promised<1696> you.
"So it shall be when you cross<5674> the Jordan<3383>, you shall set<6965> up on Mount<2022> Ebal<5858>, these<428> stones<68>, as I am commanding<6680> you today<3117>, and you shall coat<7874> them with lime<7875>.
"Moreover, you shall build<1129> there<8033> an altar<4196> to the LORD<3068> your God<430>, an altar<4196> of stones<68>; you shall not wield<5130> an iron<1270> tool on them.
"You shall build<1129> the altar<4196> of the LORD<3068> your God<430> of uncut<8003> stones<68>, and you shall offer<5927> on it burnt<5930> offerings<5930> to the LORD<3068> your God<430>;
and you shall sacrifice<2076> peace<8002> offerings<8002> and eat<398> there<8033>, and rejoice<8055> before<6440> the LORD<3068> your God<430>.
"You shall write<3789> on the stones<68> all<3605> the words<1697> of this<2088> law<8451> very<3190> distinctly<874>."
Then Moses<4872> and the Levitical<3881> priests<3548> spoke<1696> to all<3605> Israel<3478>, saying<559>, "Be silent<5535> and listen<8085>, O Israel<3478>! This<2088> day<3117> you have become<1961> a people<5971> for the LORD<3068> your God<430>.
"You shall therefore obey<8085><6963> the LORD<3068> your God<430>, and do<6213> His commandments<4687> and His statutes<2706> which<834> I command<6680> you today<3117>."
Moses<4872> also charged<6680> the people<5971> on that day<3117>, saying<559>,
"When you cross<5674> the Jordan<3383>, these<428> shall stand<5975> on Mount<2022> Gerizim<1630> to bless<1288> the people<5971>: Simeon<8095>, Levi<3878>, Judah<3063>, Issachar<3485>, Joseph<3130>, and Benjamin<1144>.
"For the curse<7045>, these<428> shall stand<5975> on Mount<2022> Ebal<5858>: Reuben<7205>, Gad<1410>, Asher<836>, Zebulun<2074>, Dan<1835>, and Naphtali<5321>.
"The Levites<3881> shall then answer<6030> and say<559> to all<3605> the men<376> of Israel<3478> with a loud<7311> voice<6963>,
'Cursed<779> is the man<376> who<834> makes<6213> an idol<6459> or a molten<4541> image<4541>, an abomination<8441> to the LORD<3068>, the work<4639> of the hands<3027> of the craftsman<2796>, and sets<7760> it up in secret<5643>.' And all<3605> the people<5971> shall answer<6030> and say<559>, 'Amen<543>.'
'Cursed<779> is he who dishonors<7034> his father<1> or mother<517>.' And all<3605> the people<5971> shall say<559>, 'Amen<543>.'
'Cursed<779> is he who moves<5472> his neighbor's<7453> boundary<1366> mark.' And all<3605> the people<5971> shall say<559>, 'Amen<543>.'
'Cursed<779> is he who misleads<7686> a blind<5787> person on the road<1870>.' And all<3605> the people<5971> shall say<559>, 'Amen<543>.'
'Cursed<779> is he who distorts<5186> the justice<4941> due an alien<1616>, orphan<3490>, and widow<490>.' And all<3605> the people<5971> shall say<559>, 'Amen<543>.'
'Cursed<779> is he who lies<7901> with his father's<1> wife<802>, because<3588> he has uncovered<1540> his father's<1> skirt<3671>.' And all<3605> the people<5971> shall say<559>, 'Amen<543>.'
'Cursed<779> is he who lies<7901> with any<3605> animal<929>.' And all<3605> the people<5971> shall say<559>, 'Amen<543>.'
'Cursed<779> is he who lies<7901> with his sister<269>, the daughter<1323> of his father<1> or<176> of his mother<517>.' And all<3605> the people<5971> shall say<559>, 'Amen<543>.'
'Cursed<779> is he who lies<7901> with his mother-in-law<2860>.' And all<3605> the people<5971> shall say<559>, 'Amen<543>.'

'Cursed<779> is he who accepts<3947> a bribe<7810> to strike<5221> down<5221> an innocent<5355> person<5315>.' And all<3605> the people<5971> shall say<559>, 'Amen<543>.'
'Cursed<779> is he who<834> does not confirm<6965> the words<1697> of this<2088> law<8451> by doing<6213> them.' And all<3605> the people<5971> shall say<559>, 'Amen<543>.'
