2even for <5228> kings <935> and <2532> all <3956> who are <1510> in <1722> authority <5247>, that <2443> we may lead <1236> a peaceful <2263> and <2532> quiet <2272> life <979> in <1722> all <3956> godliness <2150> and <2532> dignity <4587>.
3Such prayer <5124> for all is good <2570> and <2532> welcomed <587> before <1799> God <2316> our <2257> Savior <4990>,
4since he wants <2309> all <3956> people <444> to be saved <4982> and <2532> to come <2064> to <1519> a knowledge <1922> of <225> the truth <225>.
5For <1063> there is one <1520> God <2316> and <2532> one <1520> intermediary <3316> between God <2316> and <2532> humanity <444>, Christ <5547> Jesus <2424>, himself human <444>,
6who gave <1325> himself <1438> as a ransom <487> for <5228> all <3956>, revealing <3142> God’s purpose at his <2398> appointed time <2540>.
7For this I <1473> was appointed <5087> a preacher <2783> and <2532> apostle <652>– I am telling <3004> the truth <225>; I am <5574> not <3756> lying <5574>– and a teacher <1320> of the Gentiles <1484> in <1722> faith <4102> and <2532> truth <225>.

9Likewise <5615> the women <1135> are to dress in suitable <2689> apparel <2887>, with <3326> modesty <127> and <2532> self-control <4997>. Their <1438> adornment <2885> must not <3361> be with <1722> braided hair <4117> and <2532> gold <5553> or <2228> pearls <3135> or <2228> expensive <4185> clothing <2441>,
10but <235> with <1223> good <18> deeds <2041>, as is proper <4241> for women <1135> who profess <1861> reverence for God <2317>.
11A woman <1135> must learn <3129> quietly <2271> with <1722> all <3956> submissiveness <5292>.
12But <1161> I do <2010> not <3756> allow <2010> a woman <1135> to teach <1321> or <3761> exercise authority over <831> a man <435>. She must remain <1510> quiet <2271>.
13For <1063> Adam <76> was formed <4111> first <4413> and then <1534> Eve <2096>.
14And <2532> Adam <76> was <538> not <3756> deceived <538>, but <1161> the woman <1135>, because she was <1096> fully deceived <1818>, fell into <1722> transgression <3847>.
