2Instead <0518> <03588> he finds pleasure <02656> in obeying the Lord’s <03069> commands <08451>; he meditates <01897> on his commands <08451> day <03119> and night <03915>.
3He is like <01961> a tree <06086> planted <08362> by <05921> flowing <06388> streams <04325>; it yields <05414> its fruit <06529> at the proper time <06256>, and its leaves <05929> never <03808> fall off <05034>. He succeeds <06743> in everything <03605> he attempts <06213>.
4Not <03808> so <03651> with the wicked <07563>! Instead <0518> <03588> they are like wind-driven <07307> <05086> chaff <04671>.
5For this reason <03651> <05921> the wicked <07563> cannot <03808> withstand <06965> judgment <04941>, nor can sinners <02400> join the assembly <05712> of the godly <06662>.
6Certainly <03588> the Lord <03068> guards <03045> the way <01870> of the godly <06662>, but the way <01870> of the wicked <07563> ends in destruction <06>.
