1A song of the ascents THOSE who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion: it cannot be shaken; it stands fast for ever.
2As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people both now and evermore.
3Surely wicked rulers will not continue to hold sway in the land allotted to the righteous, or the righteous may put their hands to injustice.
4Do good, LORD, to the good, to those who are upright in heart.
5But those who turn aside into crooked ways, may the LORD make them go the way of evildoers! Peace be on Israel!
