TMV: Seperti ayahandanya dahulu, Raja Yosafat melakukan apa yang benar di sisi TUHAN. Tetapi tempat-tempat penyembahan dewa tidak dimusnahkan, dan rakyat masih mempersembahkan korban serta membakar kemenyan di situ.


AYT: Dia hidup dalam seluruh jalan Asa, ayahnya, tidak menyimpang darinya dan melakukan apa yang benar di mata TUHAN. Namun, bukit-bukit pengurbanan tidak disingkirkan, sehingga rakyat masih mengurbankan dan membakar dupa di bukit-bukit pengurbanan.

TB: Ia hidup mengikuti jejak Asa, ayahnya; ia tidak menyimpang dari padanya dan melakukan apa yang benar di mata TUHAN. (22-44) Hanya bukit-bukit pengorbanan tidak dijauhkan. Orang masih mempersembahkan dan membakar korban di bukit-bukit itu.

TL: Maka berjalanlah baginda pada segala jalan Asa, ayahanda baginda, dengan tiada menyimpang, dan diperbuat baginda barang yang benar kepada pemandangan Tuhan. (22-44) Kendatilah demikian, maka segala panggung tiada juga dibuang, melainkan orang banyak lagi mempersembahkan korban dan membakar dupa di atas panggung itu.

MILT: Dan dia berjalan dalam seluruh jalan Asa, ayahnya. Dan dia tidak menyimpang dari padanya dengan melakukan apa yang benar di mata TUHAN (YAHWEH - 03068). Hanya tempat-tempat pemujaan tidak ia singkirkan, sehingga rakyat masih berkurban dan membakar dupa di tempat-tempat pemujaan itu.

VMD: Hidupnya serupa dengan ayahnya. Dia baik. Dia berbuat hal-hal yang benar di hadapan TUHAN, tetapi ia tidak membinasakan tempat-tempat yang tinggi. Orang terus memberikan persembahan dan membakar kemenyan di sana.

BIS: (22-51) Seperti Asa, ayahnya, Yosafat melakukan apa yang baik pada pemandangan TUHAN. Ia melenyapkan dari kerajaannya semua pelacur laki-laki dan perempuan yang bertugas di tempat-tempat penyembahan berhala yang masih tertinggal dari zaman Asa, ayahnya. Tapi tempat-tempat penyembahan itu sendiri tidak dihancurkannya. Rakyat masih saja mempersembahkan kurban dan kemenyan di sana. Yosafat membuat kapal-kapal Tarsis untuk mengambil emas dari Ofir, tetapi kapal-kapal itu tidak jadi berlayar karena rusak di Ezion-Geber. Raja Ahazia dari Israel menawarkan supaya awak kapalnya berlayar bersama-sama dengan awak kapal Yosafat, tetapi Yosafat menolak meskipun ia mempunyai hubungan yang baik dengan raja Israel. Kemudian Yosafat meninggal dan dimakamkan di pekuburan raja-raja di kota Daud. Yoram anaknya menjadi raja menggantikan dia. Kisah lainnya mengenai Yosafat, mengenai kepahlawanannya dan pertempuran-pertempurannya dicatat dalam buku Sejarah Raja-raja Yehuda. Pada zaman itu negeri Edom tidak mempunyai raja. Yang memerintah di sana adalah seorang kepala daerah.

FAYH: Ia hidup seperti Asa, ayahnya; ia melakukan apa yang benar dalam pandangan TUHAN. (22-44) Tetapi ia tidak menghancurkan kuil-kuil yang dibangun di bukit-bukit penyembahan, sehingga orang-orang tetap mempersembahkan kurban dan membakar kemenyan di situ.
