5Come and see what God has done, his awesome dealings with mankind.
6He changed the sea into dry land; his people passed over the river on foot; there we rejoiced in him
7who rules for ever by his power. His eyes keep watch on the nations; let no rebel rise in defiance. [Selah]
8Bless our God, you nations; let the sound of his praise be heard.
9He preserves us in life; he keeps our feet from stumbling.
10For you, God, have put us to the test and refined us like silver.
11You have brought us into the net, you have bound our bodies fast;
12you have let men ride over our heads. We went through fire and water, but you have brought us out into a place of plenty.
13I shall bring whole-offerings into your house and fulfil to you vows
14which my lips have made and my mouth promised on oath during my distress.
15I shall offer you fat beasts as whole-offerings and burn rams as a soothing offering; I shall make ready bulls and he-goats. [Selah]
16Come, listen, all who fear God, and I shall tell you what he has done for me;
17I lifted up my voice in prayer, his praise was on my tongue.
18If I had cherished evil thoughts, the Lord would not have listened;
19but in truth God did listen and paid heed to my plea.
20Blessed is God who has not withdrawn from me his love and care.
