Dual Panel1THEN Jesus looked up to heaven and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that the Son may glorify you.
2For you have made him sovereign over all mankind, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him.
3This is eternal life: to know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
4“I have glorified you on earth by finishing the work which you gave me to do;
5and now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory which I had with you before the world began.
6“I have made your name known to the men whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours and you gave them to me, and they have obeyed your command.
7Now they know that all you gave me has come from you;
8for I have taught them what I learned from you, and they have received it: they know with certainty that I came from you, and they have believed that you sent me.
9“I pray for them; I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, because they belong to you.
10All that is mine is yours, and what is yours is mine; and through them is my glory revealed.
11“I am no longer in the world; they are still in the world, but I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you have given me, that they may be one, as we are one.
12While I was with them, I protected them by the power of your name which you gave me, and kept them safe. Not one of them is lost except the man doomed to be lost, for scripture has to be fulfilled.
13“Now I am coming to you; but while I am still in the world I speak these words, so that they may have my joy within them in full measure.
14I have delivered your word to them, and the world hates them because they are strangers in the world, as I am.
15I do not pray you to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one.
16They are strangers in the world, as I am.
17Consecrate them by the truth; your word is truth.
18As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world,
19and for their sake I consecrate myself, that they too may be consecrated by the truth.
20“It is not for these alone that I pray, but for those also who through their words put their faith in me.
21May they all be one; as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, so also may they be in us, that the world may believe that you sent me.
22The glory which you gave me I have given to them, that they may be one, as we are one;
23I in them and you in me, may they be perfectly one. Then the world will know that you sent me, and that you loved them as you loved me.
24“Father, they are your gift to me; and my desire is that they may be with me where I am, so that they may look upon my glory, which you have given me because you loved me before the world began.
25Righteous Father, although the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you sent me.
26I made your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love you had for me may be in them, and I in them.”
