2And there remained <03498> (8735) among the children <01121> of Israel <03478> seven <07651> tribes <07626>_, which had not yet received <02505> (8804) their inheritance <05159>_.
3And Joshua <03091> said <0559> (8799) unto the children <01121> of Israel <03478>_, How long [are] ye slack <07503> (8693) to go <0935> (8800) to possess <03423> (8800) the land <0776>_, which the LORD <03068> God <0430> of your fathers <01> hath given <05414> (8804) you?
4Give out <03051> (8798) from among you three <07969> men <0582> for [each] tribe <07626>_: and I will send <07971> (8799) them, and they shall rise <06965> (8799)_, and go <01980> (8691) through the land <0776>_, and describe <03789> (8799) it according <06310> to the inheritance <05159> of them; and they shall come <0935> (8799) [again] to me.
5And they shall divide <02505> (8694) it into seven <07651> parts <02506>_: Judah <03063> shall abide <05975> (8799) in their coast <01366> on the south <05045>_, and the house <01004> of Joseph <03130> shall abide <05975> (8799) in their coasts <01366> on the north <06828>_.
6Ye shall therefore describe <03789> (8799) the land <0776> [into] seven <07651> parts <02506>_, and bring <0935> (8689) [the description] hither to me, that I may cast <03384> (8804) lots <01486> for you here before <06440> the LORD <03068> our God <0430>_.
7But the Levites <03881> have no part <02506> among <07130> you; for the priesthood <03550> of the LORD <03068> [is] their inheritance <05159>_: and Gad <01410>_, and Reuben <07205>_, and half <02677> the tribe <07626> of Manasseh <04519>_, have received <03947> (8804) their inheritance <05159> beyond <05676> Jordan <03383> on the east <04217>_, which Moses <04872> the servant <05650> of the LORD <03068> gave <05414> (8804) them.
8And the men <0582> arose <06965> (8799)_, and went away <03212> (8799)_: and Joshua <03091> charged <06680> (8762) them that went <01980> (8802) to describe <03789> (8800) the land <0776>_, saying <0559> (8800)_, Go <03212> (8798) and walk <01980> (8690) through the land <0776>_, and describe <03789> (8798) it, and come again <07725> (8798) to me, that I may here cast <07993> (8686) lots <01486> for you before <06440> the LORD <03068> in Shiloh <07887>_.
9And the men <0582> went <03212> (8799) and passed through <05674> (8799) the land <0776>_, and described <03789> (8799) it by cities <05892> into seven <07651> parts <02506> in a book <05612>_, and came <0935> (8799) [again] to Joshua <03091> to the host <04264> at Shiloh <07887>_.
10And Joshua <03091> cast <07993> (8686) lots <01486> for them in Shiloh <07887> before <06440> the LORD <03068>_: and there Joshua <03091> divided <02505> (8762) the land <0776> unto the children <01121> of Israel <03478> according to their divisions <04256>_.
11And the lot <01486> of the tribe <04294> of the children <01121> of Benjamin <01144> came up <05927> (8799) according to their families <04940>_: and the coast <01366> of their lot <01486> came forth <03318> (8799) between the children <01121> of Judah <03063> and the children <01121> of Joseph <03130>_.
12And their border <01366> on the north <06828> side <06285> was from Jordan <03383>_; and the border <01366> went up <05927> (8804) to the side <03802> of Jericho <03405> on the north <06828> side, and went up <05927> (8804) through the mountains <02022> westward <03220>_; and the goings out <08444> thereof were at the wilderness <04057> of Bethaven <01007>_.
13And the border <01366> went over <05674> (8804) from thence toward Luz <03870>_, to the side <03802> of Luz <03870>_, which [is] Bethel <01008>_, southward <05045>_; and the border <01366> descended <03381> (8804) to Atarothadar <05853>_, near the hill <02022> that [lieth] on the south side <05045> of the nether <08481> Bethhoron <01032>_.
14And the border <01366> was drawn <08388> (8804) [thence], and compassed <05437> (8738) the corner <06285> of the sea <03220> southward <05045>_, from the hill <02022> that [lieth] before <06440> Bethhoron <01032> southward <05045>_; and the goings out <08444> thereof were at Kirjathbaal <07154>_, which [is] Kirjathjearim <07157>_, a city <05892> of the children <01121> of Judah <03063>_: this [was] the west <03220> quarter <06285>_.
15And the south <05045> quarter <06285> [was] from the end <07097> of Kirjathjearim <07157>_, and the border <01366> went out <03318> (8804) on the west <03220>_, and went out <03318> (8804) to the well <04599> of waters <04325> of Nephtoah <05318>_:
16And the border <01366> came down <03381> (8804) to the end <07097> of the mountain <02022> that [lieth] before <06440> the valley <01516> of the son <01121> of Hinnom <02011>_, [and] which [is] in the valley <06010> of the giants <07497> on the north <06828>_, and descended <03381> (8804) to the valley <01516> of Hinnom <02011>_, to the side <03802> of Jebusi <02983> on the south <05045>_, and descended <03381> (8804) to Enrogel <05883>_,
17And was drawn <08388> (8804) from the north <06828>_, and went forth <03318> (8804) to Enshemesh <05885>_, and went forth <03318> (8804) toward Geliloth <01553>_, which [is] over against <05227> the going up <04608> of Adummim <0131>_, and descended <03381> (8804) to the stone <068> of Bohan <0932> the son <01121> of Reuben <07205>_,
18And passed along <05674> (8804) toward the side <03802> over against <04136> Arabah <06160> northward <06828>_, and went down <03381> (8804) unto Arabah <06160>_: {Arabah: or, the plain}
19And the border <01366> passed along <05674> (8804) to the side <03802> of Bethhoglah <01031> northward <06828>_: and the outgoings <08444> of the border <01366> were at the north <06828> bay <03956> of the salt <04417> sea <03220> at the south <05045> end <07097> of Jordan <03383>_: this [was] the south <05045> coast <01366>_. {bay: Heb. tongue}
20And Jordan <03383> was the border <01379> (8799) of it on the east <06924> side <06285>_. This [was] the inheritance <05159> of the children <01121> of Benjamin <01144>_, by the coasts <01367> thereof round about <05439>_, according to their families <04940>_.
21Now the cities <05892> of the tribe <04294> of the children <01121> of Benjamin <01144> according to their families <04940> were Jericho <03405>_, and Bethhoglah <01031>_, and the valley <06010> of Keziz <07104>_,
22And Betharabah <01026>_, and Zemaraim <06787>_, and Bethel <01008>_,
23And Avim <05761>_, and Parah <06511>_, and Ophrah <06084>_,
24And Chepharhaammonai <03726>_, and Ophni <06078>_, and Gaba <01387>_; twelve <08147> <06240> cities <05892> with their villages <02691>_:
25Gibeon <01391>_, and Ramah <07414>_, and Beeroth <0881>_,
26And Mizpeh <04708>_, and Chephirah <03716>_, and Mozah <04681>_,
27And Rekem <07552>_, and Irpeel <03416>_, and Taralah <08634>_,
28And Zelah <06762>_, Eleph <0507>_, and Jebusi <02983>_, which [is] Jerusalem <03389>_, Gibeath <01394>_, [and] Kirjath <07157>_; fourteen <0702> <06240> cities <05892> with their villages <02691>_. This [is] the inheritance <05159> of the children <01121> of Benjamin <01144> according to their families <04940>_.
