Now there was a man<376> of the hill<2022> country<2022> of Ephraim<669> whose name<8034> was Micah<4321>.
He said<559> to his mother<517>, "The eleven<505><3967> hundred<3967> pieces of silver<3701> which<834> were taken<3947> from you, about which you uttered<422> a curse<422> in my hearing<241>, behold<2009>, the silver<3701> is with me; I took<3947> it." And his mother<517> said<559>, "Blessed<1288> be my son<1121> by the LORD<3068>."
He then returned<7725> the eleven<505><3967> hundred<3967> pieces of silver<3701> to his mother<517>, and his mother<517> said<559>, "I wholly<6942> dedicate<6942> the silver<3701> from my hand<3027> to the LORD<3068> for my son<1121> to make<6213> a graven<6459> image<6459> and a molten<4541> image<4541>; now<6258> therefore, I will return<7725> them to you."
So when he returned<7725> the silver<3701> to his mother<517>, his mother<517> took<3947> two hundred<3967> pieces of silver<3701> and gave<5414> them to the silversmith<6884> who made<6213> them into a graven<6459> image<6459> and a molten<4541> image<4541>, and they were in the house<1004> of Micah<4321>.
And the man<376> Micah<4318> had a shrine<1004><430> and he made<6213> an ephod<646> and household<8655> idols<8655> and consecrated<4390><3027> one<259> of his sons<1121>, that he might become<1961> his priest<3548>.
In those<1992> days<3117> there<369> was no<369> king<4428> in Israel<3478>; every<376> man<376> did<6213> what<3477> was right<3477> in his own eyes<5869>.
Now there was a young<5288> man<5288> from Bethlehem<1035> in Judah<3063>, of the family<4940> of Judah<3063>, who<1931> was a Levite<3881>; and he was staying<1481> there<8033>.
Then the man<376> departed<1980> from the city<5892>, from Bethlehem<1035> in Judah<3063>, to stay<1481> wherever<834> he might find<4672> a place; and as he made<6213> his journey<1870>, he came<935> to the hill<2022> country<2022> of Ephraim<669> to the house<1004> of Micah<4318>.
Micah<4318> said<559> to him, "Where<370> do you come<935> from?" And he said<559> to him, "I am a Levite<3881> from Bethlehem<1035> in Judah<3063>, and I am going<1980> to stay<1481> wherever<834> I may find<4672> a place."
Micah<4318> then said<559> to him, "Dwell<3427> with me and be a father<1> and a priest<3548> to me, and I will give<5414> you ten<6235> pieces of silver<3701> a year<3117>, a suit<6187> of clothes<899>, and your maintenance<4241>." So the Levite<3881> went<1980> in.
The Levite<3881> agreed<2974> to live<3427> with the man<376>, and the young<5288> man<5288> became<1961> to him like one<259> of his sons<1121>.
So Micah<4318> consecrated<4390><3027> the Levite<3881>, and the young<5288> man<5288> became<1961> his priest<3548> and lived<1961> in the house<1004> of Micah<4318>.
Then Micah<4318> said<559>, "Now<6258> I know<3045> that the LORD<3068> will prosper<3190> me, seeing<3588> I have<1961> a Levite<3881> as priest<3548>."
