Then Bildad <01085> the Shuhite <07747> answered <06030>:
“How <0575> long <05704> until you make <07760> an end <07078> of words <04405>? You must consider <0995>, and then <0310> we can talk <01696>.
Why <04069> should we be regarded <02803> as beasts <0929>, and considered stupid <02933> in your sight <05869>?
You who tear <02963> yourself <05315> to pieces <02963> in your anger <0639>, will the earth <0776> be abandoned <05800> for <04616> your sake <04616>? Or will a rock <06697> be moved <06275> from its place <04725>?
“Yes <01571>, the lamp <0216> of the wicked <07563> is extinguished <01846>; his flame <07632> of fire <0784> does not <03808> shine <05050>.
The light <0216> in his tent <0168> grows dark <02821>; his lamp <05216> above <05921> him is extinguished <01846>.
His vigorous <0202> steps <06806> are restricted <03334>, and his own counsel <06098> throws <07993> him down <07993>.
For <03588> he has been thrown <07971> into a net <07568> by his feet <07272> and he wanders <01980> into <05921> a mesh <07639>.
A trap <06341> seizes <0270> him by the heel <06119>; a snare <06782> grips <02388> him.
A rope <02256> is hidden <02934> for him on the ground <0776> and a trap <04434> for him lies on <05921> the path <05410>.
Terrors <01091> frighten <01204> him on all sides <05439> and dog his every step <07272>.
Calamity is hungry <07457> for him <0202>, and misfortune <0343> is ready <03559> at his side <06763>.
It eats <0398> away parts <0905> of his skin <05785>; the most terrible <01060> death <04194> devours <0398> his limbs <0905>.
He is dragged <05423> from the security <04009> of his tent <0168>, and marched off <06805> to the king <04428> of terrors <01091>.
Fire resides in <07931> his tent <0168>; over <05921> his residence <05116> burning sulfur <01614> is scattered <02219>.
Below <08478> his roots <08328> dry <03001> up, and his branches <07105> wither <05243> above <04605>.
His memory <02143> perishes <06> from <04480> the earth <0776>, he has no <03808> name <08034> in <05921> the land <02351> <06440>.
He is driven from <01920> light <0216> into <0413> darkness <02822> and is banished <05074> from the world <08398>.
He has neither <03808> children <05209> nor <03808> descendants <05220> among his people <05971>, no <0369> survivor <08300> in those places <04033> he once stayed <04033>.
People of the west <0314> are appalled <08074> at his fate <03117>; people of the east <06931> are seized <0270> with horror <08178>, saying,
‘Surely <0389> such <0428> is the residence <04908> of an evil man <05767>; and this <02088> is the place <04725> of one who has not <03808> known <03045> God <0410>.’”
