1The Lord <03068> spoke <01696> to <0413> Moses <04872>:
2“Speak <01696> to <0413> the whole <03605> congregation <05712> of the Israelites <03478> <01121> and tell <0559> them, ‘You must be <01961> holy <06918> because <03588> I <0589>, the Lord <03068> your God <0430>, am holy <06918>.
3Each <0376> of you must respect <03372> his mother <0517> and his father <01>, and you must keep <08104> my Sabbaths <07676>. I <0589> am the Lord <03068> your God <0430>.
4Do not <0408> turn <06437> to <0413> idols <0457>, and you must not <03808> make <06213> for yourselves gods <0430> of cast metal <04541>. I <0589> am the Lord <03068> your God <0430>.
5“‘When <03588> you sacrifice <02076> a peace offering <08002> sacrifice <02077> to the Lord <03068>, you must sacrifice <02076> it so that it is accepted <07522> for you.
6It must be eaten <0398> on the day <03117> of your sacrifice <02077> and on the following day <04283>, but what is left over <03498> until <05704> the third <07992> day <03117> must be burned up <08313> <0784>.
7If <0518>, however, it is eaten <0398> on the third <07992> day <03117>, it is spoiled <06292>, it <01931> will not <03808> be accepted <07521>,
8and the one who eats <0398> it will bear <05375> his punishment for iniquity <05771> because <03588> he has profaned <02490> what is holy <06944> to the Lord <03068>. That <01931> person <05315> will be cut off <03772> from his people <05971>.
9“‘When you gather <07114> in the harvest <07105> of your land <0776>, you must not <03808> completely harvest <03615> the corner <06285> of your field <07704>, and you must not <03808> gather <03950> up the gleanings <03951> of your harvest <07105>.
10You must not <03808> pick <05953> your vineyard <03754> bare <05953>, and you must not <03808> gather up <03950> the fallen grapes <06528> of your vineyard <03754>. You must leave <05800> them for the poor <06041> and the foreigner <01616>. I <0589> am the Lord <03069> your God <0430>.
11“‘You must not <03808> steal <01589>, you must not <03808> tell lies <03584>, and you must not <03808> deal falsely <08266> with your fellow <0376> citizen <05997>.
12You must not <03808> swear <07650> falsely <08267> in my name <08034>, so that you do not profane <02490> the name <08034> of your God <0430>. I <0589> am the Lord <03068>.
13You must not <03808> oppress <06231> your neighbor <07453> or <03808> commit robbery <01497> against him. You must not <03808> withhold <03885> the wages <06468> of the hired laborer <07916> overnight <03885> until <05704> morning <01242>.
14You must not <03808> curse <07043> a deaf <02795> person or <03808> put <05414> a stumbling block <04383> in front <06440> of a blind person <05787>. You must fear <03372> your God <0430>; I <0589> am the Lord <03068>.
15“‘You must not <03808> deal <06213> unjustly <05766> in judgment <04941>: you must neither <03808> show partiality <06440> <05375> to the poor <01800> nor <03808> honor <01921> the rich <01419>. You must judge <08199> your fellow citizen <05997> fairly <06664>.
16You must not <03808> go <01980> about as a slanderer <07400> among your people <05971>. You must not <03808> stand <05975> idly <01818> by <05921> when your neighbor’s <07453> life is at stake. I <0589> am the Lord <03068>.
17You must not <03808> hate <08130> your brother <0251> in your heart <03824>. You must surely reprove <03198> <03198> your fellow citizen <05997> so that you do not <03808> incur <05375> sin <02399> on <05921> account of him.
18You must not <03808> take vengeance <05358> or <03808> bear a grudge <05201> against the children <01121> of your people <05971>, but you must love <0157> your neighbor <07453> as yourself <03644>. I <0589> am the Lord <03068>.
19You must keep <08104> my statutes <02708>. You must not <03808> allow two different kinds <03610> of your animals <0929> to breed <07250>, you must not <03808> sow <02232> your field <07704> with two different kinds <03610> of seed <03610>, and you must not <03808> wear <05927> a garment <0899> made of two different kinds <03610> of fabric <08162>.
20“‘When <03588> a man <0376> has sexual intercourse <02233> <07902> <07901> with <0854> a woman <0802>, although she <01931> is a slave woman <08198> designated <02778> for another man <0376> and she has not <03808> yet been ransomed <06299> <06299>, or <0176> freedom <02668> has not <03808> been granted <05414> to her, there will be an obligation to pay compensation <01244>. They must not <03808> be <01961> put to death <04191>, because <03588> she was not <03808> free <02666>.
21He must bring <0935> his guilt offering <0817> to the Lord <03068> at the entrance <06607> of the Meeting <04150> Tent <0168>, a guilt offering <0817> ram <0352>,
22and the priest <03548> is to make atonement <03722> for <05921> him with the ram <0352> of the guilt offering <0817> before <06440> the Lord <03068> for <05921> his sin <02403> that <0834> he has committed <02398>, and he will be forgiven <05545> of his sin <02403> that <0834> he has committed <02398>.
23“‘When <03588> you enter <0935> the land <0776> and plant <05193> any <03605> fruit <03978> tree <06086>, you must consider its fruit <06529> to be forbidden <06190> <06188>. Three <07969> years <08141> it will be <01961> forbidden <06189> to you; it must not <03808> be eaten <0398>.
24In the fourth <07243> year <08141> all <03605> its fruit <06529> will be <01961> holy <06944>, praise <01974> offerings to the Lord <03068>.
25Then in the fifth <02549> year <08141> you may eat <0398> its fruit <06529> to add <03254> its produce <08393> to your harvest. I <0589> am the Lord <03068> your God <0430>.
26“‘You must not <03808> eat <0398> anything with the blood <01818> still in it. You must not <03808> practice either divination <05172> or <03808> soothsaying <06049>.
27You must not <03808> round off <05362> the corners <06285> of the hair on your head <07218> or <03808> ruin <07843> the corners <06285> of your beard <02206>.
28You must not <03808> slash <08296> your body <01320> for a dead person <05315> or incise <05414> a tattoo <07085> on yourself. I <0589> am the Lord <03068>.
29Do not <0408> profane <02490> your daughter <01323> by making <02181> her a prostitute <02181>, so that the land <0776> does not <03808> practice prostitution <02181> and become full <04390> of lewdness <02154>.
30“‘You must keep <08104> my Sabbaths <07676> and fear <03372> my sanctuary <04720>. I <0589> am the Lord <03068>.
31Do not <0408> turn <06437> to <0413> the spirits <0178> of the dead and do not <0408> seek <01245> familiar spirits <03049> to become unclean <02930> by them. I <0589> am the Lord <03068> your God <0430>.
32You must stand up <06965> in the presence <06440> of the aged <07872>, honor <01921> the presence <06440> of an elder <02205>, and fear <03372> your God <0430>. I <0589> am the Lord <03068>.
33When <03588> a foreigner <01616> resides <01481> with <0854> you in your land <0776>, you must not <03808> oppress <03238> him.
34The foreigner <01616> who resides <01481> with <0854> you must be to you like a native citizen <0249> among <04480> you; so you must love <0157> him as yourself <03644>, because <03588> you were <01961> foreigners <01616> in the land <0776> of Egypt <04714>. I <0589> am the Lord <03068> your God <0430>.
35You must not <03808> do <06213> injustice <05766> in the regulation <04941> of measures <04060>, whether of length, weight <04948>, or volume <04884>.
36You must have honest <06664> balances <03976>, honest <06664> weights <068>, an honest <06664> ephah <0374>, and an honest <06664> hin <01969>. I <0589> am <01961> the Lord <03068> your God <0430> who <0834> brought <03318> you out <03318> from the land <0776> of Egypt <04714>.
37You must be sure to obey <08104> all <03605> my statutes <02708> and regulations <04941>. I <0589> am the Lord <03068>.’”
