The Lord <03068> spoke <01696> to <0413> Moses <04872>:
“Speak <01696> to <0413> the Israelites <03478> <01121> and tell <0559> them, ‘When <03588> a man <0376> makes <06381> a special <06381> votive offering <05088> based on the conversion value <06187> of persons <05315> to the Lord <03068>,
the conversion value <06187> of the male <02145> from twenty <06242> years <08141> old <01121> up to <05704> sixty <08346> years <08141> old <01121> is <01961> fifty <02572> shekels <08255> by the standard of the sanctuary <06944> shekel <08255>.
If <0518> the person is a female <05347>, the conversion value <06187> is thirty <07970> shekels <08255>.
If <0518> the person is from five <02568> years <08141> old <01121> up to <05704> twenty <06242> years <08141> old <01121>, the conversion value <06187> of the male <02145> is twenty <06242> shekels <08255>, and for the female <05347> ten <06235> shekels <08255>.
If <0518> the person is one month <02320> old <01121> up to <05704> five <02568> years <08141> old <01121>, the conversion value <06187> of the male <02145> is five <02568> shekels <08255> of silver <03701>, and for the female <05347> the conversion value <06187> is three <07969> shekels <08255> of silver <03701>.
If <0518> the person is from sixty <08346> years <08141> old <01121> and older <04605>, if <0518> he is a male <02145> the conversion value <06187> is fifteen <06240> <02568> shekels <08255>, and for the female <05347> ten <06235> shekels <08255>.
If <0518> he is <01931> too poor <04134> to pay the conversion value <06187>, he must stand <05975> the person before <06440> the priest <03548> and the priest <03548> will establish his conversion value <06186>; according <06310> <05921> to what the man who <0834> made the vow <05087> can afford <03027> <05381>, the priest <03548> will establish his conversion value <06186>.
“‘If <0518> what is vowed is a kind of animal <0929> from <04480> which <0834> an offering <07133> may be presented <07126> to the Lord <03068>, anything <03605> which <0834> he gives <05414> to the Lord <03068> from <04480> this kind of animal will be <01961> holy <06944>.
He must not <03808> replace <02498> or <03808> exchange <04171> it, good <02896> for bad <07451> or <0176> bad <07451> for good <02896>, and if <0518> he does indeed exchange <04171> <04171> one animal <0929> for another animal <0929>, then both the original animal and its substitute <08545> will be <01961> holy <06944>.
If <0518> what <03605> is vowed is an unclean <02931> animal <0929> from <04480> which <0834> an offering <07133> must not <03808> be presented <07126> to the Lord <03068>, then he must stand <05975> the animal <0929> before <06440> the priest <03548>,
and the priest <03548> will establish its conversion value <06186>, whether <0996> good <02896> or <0996> bad <07451>. According to the assessed conversion value <06187> of the priest <03548>, thus <03651> it will be <01961>.
If <0518>, however, the person who made the vow redeems <01350> the animal, he must add <03254> one fifth <02549> to <05921> its conversion value <06187>.
“‘If <03588> a man <0376> consecrates <06942> his house <01004> as holy <06944> to the Lord <03068>, the priest <03548> will establish <06186> its conversion value, whether <0996> good <02896> or <0996> bad <07451>. Just as <0834> the priest <03548> establishes <06186> its conversion value, thus <03651> it will stand <06965>.
If <0518> the one who consecrates <06942> it redeems <01350> his house <01004>, he must add <03254> to it one fifth <02549> of its conversion value <06187> in <05921> silver <03701>, and it will belong <01961> to him.
“‘If <0518> a man <0376> consecrates <06942> to the Lord <03068> some of his own landed <07704> property <0272>, the conversion value <06187> must be calculated in accordance <06310> with the amount of seed <02233> needed to sow it, a homer <02563> of barley <08184> seed <02233> being priced at fifty <02572> shekels <08255> of silver <03701>.
If <0518> he consecrates <06942> his field <07704> in the jubilee <03104> year <08141>, the conversion value <06187> will stand <06965>,
but if <0518> he consecrates <06942> his field <07704> after <0310> the jubilee <03104>, the priest <03548> will calculate <02803> the price <03701> for <05921> him according <06310> to the years <08141> that are left <03498> until <05704> the next jubilee <03104> year <08141>, and it will be deducted <01639> from the conversion value <06187>.
If <0518>, however, the one who consecrated <06942> the field <07704> redeems <01350> it, he must add <03254> to it one fifth <02549> of the conversion price <06187> price <03701> and it will belong <06965> to him.
If <0518> he does not <03808> redeem <01350> the field <07704>, but <0518> sells <04376> the field <07704> to someone <0376> else <0312>, he may never <03808> redeem <01350> it.
When <01961> it reverts <03318> in the jubilee <03104>, the field <07704> will be holy <06944> to the Lord <03068> like a permanently dedicated <02764> field <07704>; it will become <01961> the priest’s <03548> property <0272>.
“‘If <0518> he consecrates <06942> to the Lord <03068> a field <07704> he has purchased <04736>, which <0834> is not <03808> part of his own landed <07704> property <0272>,
the <0853> priest <03548> will calculate <02803> for him the amount <04373> of its conversion value <06187> until <05704> the jubilee <03104> year <08141>, and he must pay <05414> the <0853> conversion value <06187> on that jubilee day <03117> as something that <01931> is holy <06944> to the Lord <03068>.
In the jubilee <03104> year <08141> the field <07704> will return <07725> to the one from whom <0834> he bought <07069> it, the one to whom <0834> it belongs as landed <0776> property <0272>.
Every <03605> conversion value <06187> must be calculated by the standard of the sanctuary <06944> shekel <08255>; twenty <06242> gerahs <01626> to the shekel <08255>.
“‘Surely <0389> no <03808> man <0376> may consecrate <06942> a firstborn <01060> that already belongs to the Lord <03068> as <0834> a firstborn <01069> among the animals <0929>; whether <0518> it is an ox <07794> or <0518> a sheep <07716>, it <01931> belongs to the Lord <03068>.
If <0518>, however, it is among the unclean <02931> animals <0929>, he may ransom <06299> it according to its conversion value <06187> and must add <03254> one fifth <02549> to <05921> it, but if <0518> it is not <03808> redeemed <01350> it must be sold <04376> according to its conversion value <06187>.
“‘Surely <0389> anything <03605> which <0834> a man <0376> permanently dedicates <02763> to the Lord <03069> from all <03605> that belongs <0834> to him, whether from people <0120>, animals <0929>, or his landed <07704> property <0272>, must be neither <03808> sold <04376> nor <03808> redeemed <01350>; anything <03605> permanently dedicated <02764> is most <06944> holy <06944> to the Lord <03069>.
Any human being <03605> who <0834> is permanently dedicated <02763> <02764> must not <03808> be ransomed <06299>; such a person <0120> must be put to death <04191> <04191>.
“‘Any <03605> tithe <04643> of the land <0776>, from the grain <02233> of the land <0776> or from the fruit <06529> of the trees <06086>, belongs to the Lord <03068>; it <01931> is holy <06944> to the Lord <03068>.
If <0518> a man <0376> redeems <01350> part of his tithe <04643>, however, he must add <03254> one fifth <02549> to <05921> it.
All <03605> the tithe <04643> of herd <01241> or flock <06629>, everything <03605> which <0834> passes <05674> under <08478> the rod <07626>, the tenth <06224> one will be <01961> holy <06944> to the Lord <03068>.
The owner must not <03808> examine <01239> the animals to distinguish between <0996> good <02896> and bad <07451>, and he must not <03808> exchange <04171> it. If <0518>, however, he does exchange <04171> <04171> it, both the original animal <01931> and its substitute <08545> will be <01961> holy <06944>. It must not <03808> be redeemed <01350>.’”
These <0428> are the commandments <04687> which <0834> the Lord <03068> commanded <06680> Moses <04872> to tell <0413> the Israelites <03478> <01121> at Mount <02022> Sinai <05514>.
