4A beacon in darkness for the upright, he is gracious, compassionate, good.
5It is well with one who is gracious in his lending, ordering his affairs with equity.
6Nothing will ever shake him; his goodness will be remembered for all time.
7News of misfortune will have no terrors for him, because his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
8His confidence is well established, he has no fears, and in the end he will see the downfall of his enemies.
9He lavishes his gifts on the needy; his righteousness will stand sure for ever; in honour he carries his head high.
10The wicked will see it with rising anger and grind their teeth in despair; the hopes of the wicked will come to nothing.
