3When he brought <0935> me there <08033>, I saw <02009> a man <0376> whose appearance <04758> was like <04758> bronze <05178>, with a linen <06593> cord <06616> and a measuring <04060> stick <07070> in his hand <03027>. He <01931> was standing <05975> in the gateway <08179>.
4The man <0376> said <01696> to <0413> me, “Son <01121> of man <0120>, watch closely <05869> <07200>, listen carefully <08085> <0241>, and pay <07760> attention <03820> to everything <03605> I <0589> show <07200> you, for <03588> you have been brought <0935> here <02008> so that <04616> I can show <07200> it to you. Tell <05046> the house <01004> of Israel <03478> everything <03605> you <0859> see <07200>.”
5I saw <02009> a wall <02346> all <05439> around <05439> the outside <02351> of the temple <01004>. In the man’s <0376> hand <03027> was a measuring <04060> stick <07070> 10½ feet <0520> <08337> long <02948>. He measured <04058> the thickness <07341> of the wall <01146> as 10½ feet <0259> <07070>, and its height <06967> as 10½ feet <0259> <07070>.
6Then he went <0935> to <0413> the gate <08179> facing <06440> east <06921>. He climbed <05927> its steps <04609> and measured <04058> the threshold <05592> of the gate <08179> as 10½ feet <07070> <0259> deep <07341>.
7The alcoves <08372> were 10½ <0259> feet <07070> long <0753> and 10½ <0259> feet <07070> wide <07341>; between <0996> the alcoves <08372> were 8¾ <02568> feet <0520>. The threshold <05592> of the gate <08179> by <0681> the porch <0197> of the gate <08179> facing inward <01004> was 10½ feet <0259> <07070>.

12There was a barrier <01366> in front <06440> of the alcoves <08372>, 1¾ feet <0259> <0520> on either side <06311>; the alcoves <08372> were 10½ feet <0520> <08337> on either side <06311> <06311>.
13He measured <04058> the gateway <08179> from the roof <01406> of one alcove <08372> to the roof <01406> of the other, a width <07341> of 43¾ <02568> feet <0520> <06242> from one entrance <06607> to the opposite <05048> one <06607>.
14He measured <06213> the porch <0352> at 105 feet <0520> <08346> high; the gateway <08179> went all around <05439> <05439> to <0413> the jamb <0352> of the courtyard <02691>.
15From <05921> the front <06440> of the entrance <02978> gate <08179> to <05921> the porch <0197> of the inner <06442> gate <08179> was 87½ feet <0520> <02572>.
16There were closed <0331> windows <02474> toward <0413> the alcoves <08372> and toward <0413> their jambs <0352> within <06441> the gate <08179> all <05439> around <05439>, and likewise <03651> for the porches <0361>. There were windows <02474> all <05439> around <05439> the inside <06441>, and on <0413> each jamb <0352> were decorative palm trees <08561>.
17Then he brought <0935> me to <0413> the outer <02435> court <02691>. I saw <02009> chambers <03957> there, and a pavement <07531> made <06213> for the court <02691> all around <05439> <05439>; thirty <07970> chambers <03957> faced the pavement <07531>.
18The pavement <07531> was beside <03802> the gates <08179>, corresponding <05980> to the length <0753> of the gates <08179>; this was the lower <08481> pavement <07531>.
19Then he measured <04058> the width <07341> from before <06440> the lower <08481> gate <08179> to the front <06440> of the exterior <02351> of the inner <06442> court <02691> as 175 feet <0520> <03967> on the east <06921> and on the north <06828>.
20He measured <04058> the length <0753> and width <07341> of the gate <08179> of the outer <02435> court <02691> which <0834> faces <01870> <06440> north <06828>.
21Its alcoves <08372>, three <07969> on each side <06311> <06311>, and its jambs <0352> and porches <0361> had the same measurement <04060> as the first <07223> gate <08179>; 87½ feet <0520> <02572> long <0753> and 43¾ feet <0520> <06242> <02568> wide <07341>.
22Its windows <02474>, its porches <0361>, and its decorative palm trees <08561> had the same measurement <04060> as the gate <08179> which <0834> faced <06440> east <06921>. Seven <07651> steps <04609> led up <05927> to it, and its porch <0361> was in front of <06440> them.
23Opposite <05048> the gate <08179> on the north <06828> and the east <06921> was a gate <08179> of the inner <06442> court <02691>; he measured <04058> the distance from gate <08179> to <0413> gate <08179> at 175 feet <0520> <03967>.
24Then he led <01980> me toward <01870> the south <01864>. I saw <02009> a gate <08179> on the south <01864>. He measured <04058> its jambs <0352> and its porches <0361>; they had the same dimensions <04060> as the others <0428>.
25There were windows <02474> all around <05439> it and its porches <0361>, like the windows <02474> of the others <0428>; 87½ feet <0520> <02572> long <0753> and 43¾ feet <0520> <06242> <02568> wide <07341>.
26There were seven <07651> steps <04609> going up <05930> to it; its porches <0361> were in front <06440> of them. It had decorative palm trees <08561> on its jambs <0352>, one <0259> <0259> on <0413> either side <06311> <06311>.
27The inner <06442> court <02691> had a gate <08179> toward <01870> the south <01864>; he measured <04058> it from gate <08179> to <0413> gate <08179> toward <01870> the south <01864> as 175 feet <0520> <03967>.
28Then he brought <0935> me to <0413> the inner <06442> court <02691> by the south <01864> gate <08179>. He measured <04058> the south <01864> gate <08179>; it had the same dimensions <04060> as the others <0428>.
29Its alcoves <08372>, its jambs <0352>, and its porches <0361> had the same dimensions <04060> as the others <0428>, and there were windows <02474> all <05439> around <05439> it and its porches <0361>; its length <0753> was 87½ feet <0520> <02572> and its width <07341> 43¾ feet <0520> <02568> <06242>.

31Its porches <0361> faced <0413> the outer <02435> court <02691>, and decorative palm trees <08561> were on <0413> its jambs <0352>, and its stairway <04608> had eight <08083> steps <04609>.
32Then he brought <0935> me to <0413> the inner <06442> court <02691> on the east side <06921>. He measured <04058> the gate <08179>; it had the same dimensions <04060> as the others <0428>.
33Its alcoves <08372>, its jambs <0352>, and its porches <0361> had the same dimensions <04060> as the others <0428>, and there were windows <02474> all around <05439> <05439> it and its porches <0361>; its length <0753> was 87½ feet <0520> <02572> and its width <07341> 43¾ feet <0520> <06242> <02568>.

35Then he brought <0935> me to <0413> the north <06828> gate <08179>, and he measured <04058> it; it had the same dimensions <04060> as the others <0428>–
36its alcoves <08372>, its jambs <0352>, and its porches <0361>. It had windows <02474> all <05439> around <05439> it; its length <0753> was 87½ feet <0520> <02572> and its width <07341> 43¾ <02568> feet <0520> <06242>.
37Its jambs <0352> faced the outer <02435> court <02691>, and it had decorative palm trees <08561> on <0413> its jambs <0352>, on either side <06311> <06311>, and its stairway <04608> had eight <08083> steps <04609>.
38There was a chamber <03957> with its door <06607> by the porch <0352> of the gate <08179>; there <08033> they washed <01740> the burnt offering <05930>.
39In the porch <0197> of the gate <08179> were two <08147> tables <07979> <07979> on either side <06311> <06311> on which to slaughter <07819> the burnt offering <05930>, the sin offering <02403>, and the guilt offering <0817>.
40On <0413> the outside <02351> <03802> of the porch as one goes up <05927> at the entrance <06607> of the north <06828> gate <08179> were two <08147> tables <07979>, and on <0413> the other <0312> side <03802> of the porch <0197> of the gate <08179> were two <08147> tables <07979>.
41Four <0702> <0702> tables <07979> <07979> were on each side <03802> <06311> <06311> of the gate <08179>, eight <08083> tables <07979> on which the sacrifices were to <0413> be slaughtered <07819>.
42The four <0702> tables <07979> for the burnt offering <05930> were of carved <01496> stone <068>, 32 inches <02677> <0259> <0520> long <0753>, 32 inches <02677> <0259> <0520> wide <07341>, and 21 inches <0259> <0520> high <01363>. They would put <03240> the <0853> instruments <03627> which <0834> they used to slaughter <07819> the <0853> burnt offering <05930> and the sacrifice <02077> on them.
43There were hooks <08240> three inches long <02948>, fastened <03559> in the house <01004> all around <05439> <05439>, and on <0413> the tables <07979> was the flesh <01320> of the offering <07133>.
44On the outside <02351> of the inner <06442> gate <08179> were chambers <03957> for the singers <07891> of the inner <06442> court <02691>, one at <0413> the side <03802> of the north <06828> gate <08179> facing <01870> <06440> south <01864>, and the other <0259> at <0413> the side <03802> of the south <06921> gate <08179> facing <01870> <06440> north <06828>.
45He said <01696> to <0413> me, “This <02090> chamber <03957> which <0834> faces <06440> south <01864> is for the priests <03548> who keep <08104> charge <04931> of the temple <01004>,
46and the chamber <03957> which <0834> faces <06440> north <06828> is for the priests <03548> who keep <08104> charge <04931> of the altar <04196>. These <01992> are the descendants <01121> of Zadok <06659>, from the descendants <01121> of Levi <03878>, who may approach <07131> the Lord <03068> to minister <08334> to him.”
47He measured <04058> the court <02691> as a square <07251> 175 feet <0520> <03967> long <0753> and 175 feet <0520> <03967> wide <07341>; the altar <04196> was in front <06440> of the temple <01004>.
48Then he brought <0935> me to <0413> the porch <0197> of the temple <01004> and measured <04058> the jambs <0352> of the porch <0197> as 8¾ feet <0520> <02568> on either side <06311> <06311>, and the width <07341> of the gate <08179> was 24½ feet <0520> <07969> and the sides <06311> were 5¼ feet <0520> <07969> on each side <06311>.
49The length <0753> of the porch <0197> was 35 feet <0520> <06242> and the width <07341> 19¼ feet <0520> <06240> <06249>; steps <04609> led up <05927> to <0413> it, and there were pillars <05982> beside <0413> the jambs <0352> on either side <06311> <0259> <06311> <0259>.
