2“Son <01121> of man <0120>, turn <07760> toward <0413> the mountains <02022> of Israel <03478> and prophesy <05012> against <0413> them:
3Say <0559>, ‘Mountains <02022> of Israel <03478>, Hear <08085> the word <01697> of the sovereign <0136> Lord <03069>! This is what <03541> the sovereign <0136> Lord <03069> says <0559> to the mountains <02022> and the hills <01389>, to the ravines <0650> and the valleys <01516>: I <0589> am bringing <0935> a sword <02719> against <05921> you, and I will destroy <06> your high places <01116>.
4Your altars <04196> will be ruined <08074> and your incense altars <02553> will be broken <07665>. I will throw down <05307> your slain <02491> in front <06440> of your idols <01544>.
5I will place <05414> the corpses <06297> of the people <01121> of Israel <03478> in front <06440> of their idols <01544>, and I will scatter <02219> your bones <06106> around <05439> your altars <04196>.
6In all <03605> your dwellings <04186>, the cities <05892> will be laid waste <02717> and the high places <01116> ruined <03456> so that <04616> your altars <04196> will be laid waste <02717> and ruined <0816>, your idols <01544> will be shattered <07665> and demolished <07673>, your incense altars <02553> will be broken down <01438>, and your works <04639> wiped out <04229>.
7The slain <02491> will fall <05307> among <08432> you and then you will know <03045> that <03588> I <0589> am the Lord <03068>.
8“‘But I will spare <03498> some of you. Some will <01961> escape <06412> the sword <02719> when you are scattered <02219> in foreign <01471> lands <0776>.
9Then your survivors <06412> will remember <02142> me among the nations <01471> where <0834> they are exiled <07617>. They will realize how <0834> I was crushed <07665> by their unfaithful <02181> heart <03820> which <0834> turned from <05493> me and by <0854> their eyes <05869> which lusted <02181> after <0310> their idols <01544>. They will loathe <06962> themselves because of the evil <07451> they have done <06213> and because of all <03605> their abominable practices <08441>.
10They will know <03045> that <03588> I <0589> am the Lord <03068>; my threats <01696> to bring <06213> this <02063> catastrophe <07451> on <0413> them were not <03808> empty <02600>.’
11“‘This is what <03541> the sovereign <0136> Lord <03068> says <0559>: Clap <05221> your hands <03709>, stamp <07554> your feet <07272>, and say <0559>, “Ah <0253>!” because <0413> of all <03605> the evil <07451>, abominable practices <08441> of the house <01004> of Israel <03478>, for they will fall <05307> by the sword <02719>, famine <07458>, and pestilence <01698>.
12The one far away <07350> will die <04191> by pestilence <01698>, the one close <07138> by will fall <05307> by the sword <02719>, and whoever is left <07604> and has escaped <05341> these will die <04191> by famine <07458>. I will fully vent <03615> my rage <02534> against them.
13Then you will know <03045> that <03588> I <0589> am the Lord <03068>– when <01961> their dead <02491> lie among <08432> their idols <01544> around <05439> their altars <04196>, on <0413> every <03605> high <07311> hill <01389> and all <03605> the mountaintops <02022> <07218>, under <08478> every <03605> green <07488> tree <06086> and every <03605> leafy <05687> oak <0424>, the places <04725> where <08033> they have <0834> offered <05414> fragrant <05207> incense <07381> to all <03605> their idols <01544>.
14I will stretch out <05186> my hand <03027> against <05921> them and make <05414> the <0853> land <0776> a desolate <08077> waste <04923> from the wilderness <04057> to Riblah <01689>, in all <03605> the places where they live <04186>. Then they will know <03045> that <03588> I <0589> am the Lord <03068>!”
