2and she was with child<1722><1064>; and she *cried<2896> out, being<2192> in labor<5605> and in pain<928> to give<5088> birth<5088>.
3Then<2532> another<243> sign<4592> appeared<3708> in heaven<3772>: and behold<2400>, a great<3173> red<4450> dragon<1404> having<2192> seven<2033> heads<2776> and ten<1176> horns<2768>, and on his heads<2776> were seven<2033> diadems<1238>.
4And his tail<3769> *swept<4951> away<4951> a third<5154> of the stars<792> of heaven<3772> and threw<906> them to the earth<1093>. 6Then<2532> the woman<1135> fled<5343> into the wilderness<2048> where<3699> she *had<2192> a place<5117> prepared<2090> by God<2316>, so<2443> that there<1563> she would be nourished<5142> for one<5507> thousand<5507> two<1250> hundred<1250> and sixty<1835> days<2250>.
7And there was war<4171> in heaven<3772>, Michael<3413> and his angels<32> waging<4170> war<4171> with the dragon<1404>. The dragon<1404> and his angels<32> waged<4170> war<4171>,
8and they were not strong<2480> enough<2480>, and there was no<3761> longer<2089> a place<5117> found<2147> for them in heaven<3772>.
9And the great<3173> dragon<1404> was thrown<906> down, the serpent<3789> of old<744> who is called<2564> the devil<1228> and Satan<4567>, who deceives<4105> the whole<3650> world<3625>; he was thrown<906> down to the earth<1093>, and his angels<32> were thrown<906> down with him.
10Then<2532> I heard<191> a loud<3173> voice<5456> in heaven<3772>, saying<3004>, "Now<737> the salvation<4991>, and the power<1411>, and the kingdom<932> of our God<2316> and the authority<1849> of His Christ<5547> have come<1096>, for the accuser<2725> of our brethren<80> has been thrown<906> down, he who accuses<2723> them before<1799> our God<2316> day<2250> and night<3571>.
11"And they overcame<3528> him because<1223> of the blood<129> of the Lamb<721> and because<1223> of the word<3056> of their testimony<3141>, and they did not love<25> their life<5590> even<891> when<891> faced with death<2288>.
12"For this<3778> reason<1223>, rejoice<2165>, O heavens<3772> and you who dwell<4637> in them. Woe<3759> to the earth<1093> and the sea<2281>, because<3754> the devil<1228> has come<2597> down<2597> to you, having<2192> great<3173> wrath<2372>, knowing<3609> that he has<2192> only a short<3641> time<2540>."
13And when<3753> the dragon<1404> saw<3708> that he was thrown<906> down to the earth<1093>, he persecuted<1377> the woman<1135> who<3748> gave<5088> birth<5088> to the male<733> child.
14But the two<1417> wings<4420> of the great<3173> eagle<105> were given<1325> to the woman<1135>, so<2443> that she could fly<4072> into the wilderness<2048> to her place<5117>, where<3699> she *was nourished<5142> for a time<2540> and times<2540> and half<2255> a time<2540>, from the presence<4383> of the serpent<3789>.
15And the serpent<3789> poured<906> water<5204> like<5613> a river<4215> out of his mouth<4750> after<3694> the woman<1135>, so<2443> that he might cause<4160> her to be swept<4216> away<4216> with the flood<4216>.
16But the earth<1093> helped<997> the woman<1135>, and the earth<1093> opened<455> its mouth<4750> and drank<2666> up the river<4215> which<3739> the dragon<1404> poured<906> out of his mouth<4750>.
17So<2532> the dragon<1404> was enraged<3710> with the woman<1135>, and went<565> off<565> to make<4160> war<4171> with the rest<3062> of her children<4690>, who keep<5083> the commandments<1785> of God<2316> and hold<2192> to the testimony<3141> of Jesus<2424>.
