2You must take <03947> with you seven <07651> of every <03605> kind of clean <02889> animal <0929>, the male <0376> and its mate <0802>, two <08147> of every kind of unclean <02889> <03808> animal <0929>, the male <0376> and its mate <0802>,
3and also <01571> seven <07651> <07651> of every kind of bird <05775> in the sky <08064>, male <02145> and female <05347>, to preserve <02421> their offspring <02233> on <05921> the face <06440> of the earth <0776>.
4For <03588> in seven <07651> days <03117> I <0595> will cause it to rain <04305> on <05921> the earth <0776> for forty <0705> days <03117> and forty <0705> nights <03915>, and I will wipe <04229> from <05921> the face <06440> of the ground <0127> every <03605> living thing <03351> that <0834> I have made <06213>.”

7Noah <05146> entered <0935> the ark <08392> along with his sons <01121>, his wife <0802>, and his sons <01121>’ wives <0802> because of the floodwaters <03999> <04325>.
8Pairs of clean <02889> animals <0929>, of unclean <02889> <0369> animals <0929>, of birds <05775>, and of everything <03605> that <0834> creeps <07430> along <05921> the ground <0127>,

15Pairs <08147> <08147> of all <03605> creatures <01320> that <0834> have the breath <07307> of life <02416> came <0935> into <0413> the ark <08392> to <0413> Noah <05146>.
16Those that entered <0935> were male <02145> and female <05347>, just <0834> as God <0430> commanded <06680> him. Then the Lord <03068> shut <05462> him in.
17The flood <03999> engulfed <01961> the earth <0776> for forty <0705> days <03117>. As the waters <04325> increased <07235>, they lifted <05375> the ark <08392> and raised <07311> it above <05921> the earth <0776>.
18The waters <04325> completely <03966> overwhelmed <07235> <01396> the earth <0776>, and the ark <08392> floated <01980> on <05921> the surface <06440> of the waters <04325>.

22Everything <03605> on dry land <02724> that had the breath <05397> of life <02416> <07307> in its nostrils <0639> died <04191>.
23So the Lord destroyed <04229> every <03605> living thing <03351> that <0834> was on <05921> the surface <06440> of the ground <0127>, including <05704> people <0120>, animals, creatures <0929> that <05704> creep along the ground <07431>, and <05704> birds <05775> of <04480> the sky <08064>. They were wiped off <04229> the earth <0776>. Only <0389> Noah <05146> and those who <0834> were with <0854> him in the ark <08392> survived <07604>.
24The waters <04325> prevailed <01396> over <05921> the earth <0776> for 150 <03967> <02572> days <03117>.
