Now <1161> receive <4355> the one who is weak <770> in the faith <4102>, and do not <3361> have disputes <1253> over differing opinions <1261>.
One <3303> person believes <4100> in eating <5315> everything <3956>, but <1161> the weak <770> person eats <2068> only vegetables <3001>.
The one who eats <2068> everything must not <3361> despise <1848> the one who does <2068> not <3361>, and <1161> the one who abstains <3361> <2068> must <2919> not <3361> judge <2919> the one who eats <2068> everything, for <1063> God <2316> has accepted <4355> him <846>.
Who <5101> are <1510> you <4771> to pass judgment <2919> on another’s <245> servant <3610>? Before his own <2398> master <2962> he stands <4739> or <2228> falls <4098>. And <1161> he will stand <2476>, for <1063> the Lord <2962> is able <1414> to make <2476> him <846> stand <2476>.
One <3303> person regards <2919> one day <2250> holier than <3844> other days <2250>, and <1161> another regards <2919> them <2250> all <3956> alike. Each <1538> must be fully convinced <4135> in <1722> his own <2398> mind <3563>.
The one who observes <5426> the day <2250> does it for the Lord <2962>. The one who eats <2068>, eats <2068> for the Lord <2962> because <1063> he gives thanks <2168> to God <2316>, and <2532> the one who abstains <3361> from eating <2068> abstains <3756> <2068> for the Lord <2962>, and <2532> he gives thanks <2168> to God <2316>.
For <1063> none <3762> of us <2257> lives <2198> for himself <1438> and <2532> none <3762> dies <599> for himself <1438>.
If <1437> we live <2198>, we live <2198> for <1063> the Lord <2962>; if <1437> we die <599>, we die <599> for the Lord <2962>. Therefore <3767>, whether <1437> <5037> we live <2198> or <1437> <5037> die <599>, we are <1510> the Lord’s <2962>.
For <1063> this reason <5124> Christ <5547> died <599> and <2532> returned to life <2198>, so that <2443> he may be the Lord <2961> of both <2532> the dead <3498> and <2532> the living <2198>.
But <1161> you <4771> who eat vegetables only– why <5101> do you judge <2919> your <4675> brother <80> or <2228> sister <80>? And <2532> you <4771> who eat everything– why <5101> do you despise <1848> your <4675> brother or sister <80>? For <1063> we will <3936> all <3956> stand <3936> before the judgment seat <968> of God <2316>.
For <1063> it is written <1125>, “As I <1473> live <2198>, says <3004> the Lord <2962>, every <3956> knee <1119> will bow <2578> to me <1698>, and <2532> every <3956> tongue <1100> will give praise <1843> to God <2316>.”
Therefore <3767>, each <1538> of us <2257> will give <1325> an account <3056> of <4012> himself <1438> to God <2316>.
Therefore <3767> we must <2919> not <3371> pass judgment <2919> on one another <240>, but <235> rather <3123> determine <2919> never <3361> to place <5087> an obstacle <4348> or <2228> a trap <4625> before a brother or sister <80>.
I know <1492> and <2532> am convinced <3982> in <1722> the Lord <2962> Jesus <2424> that <3754> there is nothing <3762> unclean <2839> in <1223> itself <1438>; still, it is <1510> unclean <2839> to the one <1565> who considers <3049> it unclean <2839>.
For <1063> if <1487> your <4675> brother or sister <80> is distressed <3076> because of <1223> what you eat <1033>, you are <4043> no longer <3765> walking <4043> in <2596> love <26>. Do <622> not <3361> destroy <622> by your <4675> food <1033> someone for <5228> whom <3739> Christ <5547> died <599>.
Therefore <3767> do not <3361> let what you <5216> consider good <18> be spoken of as evil <987>.
For <1063> the kingdom <932> of God <2316> does <1510> not <3756> consist of <1510> food <1035> and <2532> drink <4213>, but <235> righteousness <1343>, peace <1515>, and <2532> joy <5479> in <1722> the Holy <40> Spirit <4151>.
For <1063> the one who serves <1398> Christ <5547> in <1722> this <5129> way is pleasing <2101> to God <2316> and <2532> approved <1384> by people <444>.
So then <686> <3767>, let us pursue <1377> what makes for peace <1515> and <2532> for building up <3619> one another <240>.
Do <2647> not <3361> destroy <2647> the work <2041> of God <2316> for the sake <1752> of food <1033>. For although <3303> all things <3956> are clean <2513>, it is wrong <2556> to cause anyone <444> to stumble <4348> by <1223> what you eat <2068>.
It is good <2570> not <3361> to eat <5315> meat <2907> or <3366> drink <4095> wine <3631> or <3366> to do anything that causes your <4675> brother <80> to stumble <4350>.
The faith <4102> you <4771> have <2192>, keep to <2596> yourself <4572> before <1799> God <2316>. Blessed <3107> is the one who does <2919> not <3361> judge <2919> himself <1438> by <1722> what <3739> he approves <1381>.
But <1161> the man who doubts <1252> is condemned <2632> if <1437> he eats <5315>, because <3754> he does not <3756> do so from <1537> faith <4102>, and whatever <3956> is not <3756> from <1537> faith <4102> is <1510> sin <266>.
