Dual Panel1After <3326> this <5124> I saw <3708> four <5064> angels <32> standing <2476> at <1909> the four <5064> corners <1137> of the earth <1093>, holding back <2902> the four <5064> winds <417> of the earth <1093> so <2443> no <3361> wind <417> could blow <4154> on <1909> the earth <1093>, on <1909> the sea <2281>, or <3383> on <1909> any <3956> tree <1186>.
2Then <2532> I saw <1492> another <243> angel <32> ascending <305> from <575> the east <395> <2246>, who had <2192> the seal <4973> of the living <2198> God <2316>. He <2532> shouted out <2896> with a loud <3173> voice <5456> to the four <5064> angels <32> who <3739> had been given permission <1325> to damage <91> the earth <1093> and <2532> the sea <2281>:
3“Do <91> not <3361> damage <91> the earth <1093> or <3383> the sea <2281> or <3383> the trees <1186> until <891> we have put a seal <4972> on <1909> the foreheads <3359> of the servants <1401> of our <2257> God <2316>.”
4Now <2532> I heard <191> the number <706> of those who were marked <4972> with the seal, one hundred <1540> and forty-four <5062> <5064> thousand <5505>, sealed <4972> from <1537> all <3956> the tribes <5443> of <5207> the people <5207> of Israel <2474>:
5From <1537> the tribe <5443> of Judah <2448>, twelve <1427> thousand <5505> were sealed <4972>, from <1537> the tribe <5443> of Reuben <4502>, twelve <1427> thousand <5505>, from <1537> the tribe <5443> of Gad <1045>, twelve <1427> thousand <5505>,
6from <1537> the tribe <5443> of Asher <768>, twelve <1427> thousand <5505>, from <1537> the tribe <5443> of Naphtali <3508>, twelve <1427> thousand <5505>, from <1537> the tribe <5443> of Manasseh <3128>, twelve <1427> thousand <5505>,
7from <1537> the tribe <5443> of Simeon <4826>, twelve <1427> thousand <5505>, from <1537> the tribe <5443> of Levi <3017>, twelve <1427> thousand <5505>, from <1537> the tribe <5443> of Issachar <2466>, twelve <1427> thousand <5505>,
8from <1537> the tribe <5443> of Zebulun <2194>, twelve <1427> thousand <5505>, from <1537> the tribe <5443> of Joseph <2501>, twelve <1427> thousand <5505>, from <1537> the tribe <5443> of Benjamin <958>, twelve <1427> thousand <5505> were sealed <4972>.
9After <3326> these things <5023> I looked <1492>, and <2532> here <2400> was an enormous <4183> crowd <3793> that <3739> no one <3762> could <1410> count <705>, made up of persons from <1537> every <3956> nation <1484>, tribe <5443>, people <2992>, and <2532> language <1100>, standing <2476> before <1799> the throne <2362> and <2532> before <1799> the Lamb <721> dressed <4016> in long <4749> white <3022> robes <4749>, and <2532> with palm branches <5404> in <1722> their <846> hands <5495>.
10They were shouting out <2896> in a loud <3173> voice <5456>, “Salvation <4991> belongs to our <2257> God <2316>, to the one seated <2521> on <1909> the throne <2362>, and <2532> to the Lamb <721>!”
11And <2532> all <3956> the angels <32> stood <2476> there in a circle around <2945> the throne <2362> and <2532> around the elders <4245> and <2532> the four <5064> living creatures <2226>, and <2532> they threw <4098> themselves down <4098> with <1909> their <846> faces <4383> to the ground <4098> before <1799> the throne <2362> and <2532> worshiped <4352> God <2316>,
12saying <3004>, “Amen <281>! Praise <2129> and <2532> glory <1391>, and <2532> wisdom <4678> and <2532> thanksgiving <2169>, and <2532> honor <5092> and <2532> power <1411> and <2532> strength <2479> be to our <2257> God <2316> for <1519> ever <165> and ever <165>. Amen <281>!”
13Then <2532> one <1520> of the elders <4245> asked <3004> me <3427>, “These <3778> dressed in <4016> long <4749> white <3022> robes <4749>– who <5101> are they <1510> and <2532> where <4159> have they come from <2064>?”
14So <2532> I said <4483> to him <846>, “My <3450> lord <2962>, you <4771> know <1492> the answer.” Then <2532> he said <3004> to me <3427>, “These <3778> are <1510> the ones who have come <2064> out of <1537> the great <3173> tribulation <2347>. They have washed <4150> their <846> robes <4749> and <2532> made <3021> them <846> white <3021> in <1722> the blood <129> of the Lamb <721>!
15For <1223> this reason <5124> they are <1510> before <1799> the throne <2362> of God <2316>, and <2532> they serve <3000> him <846> day <2250> and <2532> night <3571> in <1722> his <846> temple <3485>, and <2532> the one seated <2521> on <1909> the throne <2362> will shelter <4637> them <846>.
16They will <3983> never <3756> go hungry <3983> or <3761> be thirsty <1372> again <2089>, and the sun <2246> will not <3361> beat down <4098> on <1909> them <846>, nor <3761> any <3956> burning heat <2738>,
17because <3754> the Lamb <721> in the middle <3319> of the throne <2362> will shepherd <4165> them <846> and <2532> lead <3594> them <846> to springs <4077> of <1909> living <2222> water <5204>, and <2532> God <2316> will wipe away <1813> every <3956> tear <1144> from <1537> their <846> eyes <3788>.”
