TB: Aku tidur, tetapi hatiku bangun. Dengarlah, kekasihku mengetuk. "Bukalah pintu, dinda, manisku, merpatiku, idam-idamanku, karena kepalaku penuh embun, dan rambutku penuh tetesan embun malam!"


AYT: Aku tidur, tetapi hatiku bangun. Ada suara! Kekasihku mengetuk, “Bukakanlah bagiku, dindaku, sayangku, merpatiku, idamanku! Sebab, kepalaku penuh dengan embun, rambut ikalku dengan tetesan embun malam.”

TL: Bahwa tertidurlah aku, tetapi hatiku lagi berjaga, maka kedengaranlah bunyi suara kekasihku sambil mengetok pintu, katanya: Bukakanlah aku pintu, hai adinda, emasku, merpatiku dan kesempurnaanku! karena kepalaku dibasahkan oleh embun dan ikal-ikal rambutku oleh rintik-rintik malam.
