Therefore<3767>, having been justified<1344> by faith<4102>, we have<2192> peace<1515> with God<2316> through<1223> our Lord<2962> Jesus<2424> Christ<5547>,
through<1223> whom<3739> also<2532> we have obtained<2192> our introduction<4318> by faith<4102> into this<3778> grace<5485> in which<3739> we stand<2476>; and we exult<2744> in hope<1680> of the glory<1391> of God<2316>.
And not only<3440> this, but we also<2532> exult<2744> in our tribulations<2347>, knowing<3609> that tribulation<2347> brings<2716> about<2716> perseverance<5281>;
and perseverance<5281>, proven<1382> character<1382>; and proven<1382> character<1382>, hope<1680>;
and hope<1680> does not disappoint<2617>, because<3754> the love<26> of God<2316> has been poured<1632> out within<1722> our hearts<2588> through<1223> the Holy<40> Spirit<4151> who was given<1325> to us.
For while we were still<2089> helpless<772>, at the right<2540> time<2540> Christ<5547> died<599> for the ungodly<765>.
For one<5100> will hardly<3433> die<599> for a righteous<1342> man<1342>; though<1063> perhaps<5029> for the good<18> man<18> someone<5100> would dare<5111> even<2532> to die<599>.
But God<2316> demonstrates<4921> His own<1438> love<26> toward<1519> us, in that while we were yet<2089> sinners<268>, Christ<5547> died<599> for us.
Much<4183> more<3123> then<3767>, having now<3568> been justified<1344> by His blood<129>, we shall be saved<4982> from the wrath<3709> of God through<1223> Him.
For if<1487> while we were enemies<2190> we were reconciled<2644> to God<2316> through<1223> the death<2288> of His Son<5207>, much<4183> more<3123>, having been reconciled<2644>, we shall be saved<4982> by His life<2222>.
And not only<3440> this, but we also<2532> exult<2744> in God<2316> through<1223> our Lord<2962> Jesus<2424> Christ<5547>, through<1223> whom<3739> we have now<3568> received<2983> the reconciliation<2643>.
Therefore<1223><3778>, just<5618> as through<1223> one<1520> man<444> sin<266> entered<1525> into the world<2889>, and death<2288> through<1223> sin<266>, and so<3779> death<2288> spread<1330> to all<3956> men<444>, because<1909><3739> all<3956> sinned<264>--
for until<891> the Law<3551> sin<266> was in the world<2889>, but sin<266> is not imputed<1677> when there is no<3361> law<3551>.
Nevertheless<235> death<2288> reigned<936> from Adam<76> until<3360> Moses<3475>, even<2532> over<1909> those<3588> who had not sinned<264> in the likeness<3667> of the offense<3847> of Adam<76>, who<3739> is a type<5179> of Him who was to come<3195>.
But the free<5486> gift<5486> is not like<5613> the transgression<3900>. For if<1487> by the transgression<3900> of the one<1520> the many<4183> died<599>, much<4183> more<3123> did the grace<5485> of God<2316> and the gift<1431> by the grace<5485> of the one<1520> Man<444>, Jesus<2424> Christ<5547>, abound<4052> to the many<4183>.
The gift<1434> is not like<5613> that which came through<1223> the one<1520> who sinned<264>; for on the one<3303> hand<3303> the judgment<2917> arose from one<1520> transgression resulting<1519> in condemnation<2631>, but on the other<1161> hand<1161> the free<5486> gift<5486> arose from many<4183> transgressions<3900> resulting<1519> in justification<1345>.
For if<1487> by the transgression<3900> of the one<1520>, death<2288> reigned<936> through<1223> the one<1520>, much<4183> more<3123> those<3588> who receive<2983> the abundance<4050> of grace<5485> and of the gift<1431> of righteousness<1343> will reign<936> in life<2222> through<1223> the One<1520>, Jesus<2424> Christ<5547>.
So<686> then<686> as through<1223> one<1520> transgression<3900> there resulted<1519> condemnation<2631> to all<3956> men<444>, even<2532> so<3779> through<1223> one<1520> act<1345> of righteousness<1345> there resulted<1519> justification<1347> of life<2222> to all<3956> men<444>.
For as through<1223> the one<1520> man's<444> disobedience<3876> the many<4183> were made<2525> sinners<268>, even<2532> so<3779> through<1223> the obedience<5218> of the One<1520> the many<4183> will be made<2525> righteous<1342>.
The Law<3551> came<3922> in so<2443> that the transgression<3900> would increase<4121>; but where<3757> sin<266> increased<4121>, grace<5485> abounded<5248> all<5248> the more<5248>,
so<3779> that, as sin<266> reigned<936> in death<2288>, even<2532> so<3779> grace<5485> would reign<936> through<1223> righteousness<1343> to eternal<166> life<2222> through<1223> Jesus<2424> Christ<5547> our Lord<2962>.
