TB: Segera sesudah matahari terbit, maka atas penentuan Allah bertiuplah angin timur yang panas terik, sehingga sinar matahari menyakiti kepala Yunus, lalu rebahlah ia lesu dan berharap supaya mati, katanya: "Lebih baiklah aku mati dari pada hidup."


AYT: Ketika matahari terbit, Allah mengutus angin timur yang panas terik dan matahari menyakiti kepala Yunus sehingga ia hampir pingsan sampai ia meminta supaya mati saja, katanya, “Lebih baik mati daripada hidup.”

TL: Maka setelah terbit matahari, tiba-tiba diadakan Allah suatu angin timur sepoi-sepoi, maka turunlah panas kepada kepala Yunus, sehingga pingsanlah ia; maka dipintanya biarlah jiwanya mati, karena katanya: Dari pada hidup ini baik aku mati.

MILT: Dan terjadilah, ketika matahari bersinar, bahwa Allah (Elohim - 0430) telah menentukan suatu angin timur yang menghanguskan, dan sinar matahari itu menerpa di atas kepala Yunus sehingga dia lemah lesu. Dan dia meminta supaya hidupnya berakhir. Ia berkata, "Lebih baik bagiku mati daripada hidup!"

BIS: Setelah matahari terbit, Allah mendatangkan angin panas yang bertiup dari timur. Yunus hampir pingsan karena ditimpa sinar matahari yang seakan-akan membakar kepalanya. Ia menjadi putus asa dan ingin mati. Katanya, "Lebih baik aku mati saja daripada hidup!"

TMV: Setelah matahari terbit, Allah mendatangkan angin panas yang bertiup dari timur. Yunus hampir pengsan kerana terik matahari yang seakan-akan membakar kepalanya. Oleh itu dia putus asa dan ingin mati, katanya, "Lebih baik aku mati daripada hidup!"

FAYH: Kemudian, ketika matahari sedang terik, Allah menyuruh angin timur yang panas bertiup ke arah Yunus dan terik matahari menimpa kepalanya sampai ia merasa lemah dan ingin mati saja. "Kematian lebih baik daripada ini!" katanya.
