21For <1063> since <1894> in <1722> the wisdom <4678> of God <2316> the world <2889> by <1223> its wisdom <4678> did not <3756> know <1097> God <2316>, God <2316> was pleased <2106> to save <4982> those who believe <4100> by <1223> the foolishness <3472> of preaching <2782>.
22For <1894> Jews <2453> demand <2212> miraculous signs <4592> and <2532> Greeks <1672> ask for <154> wisdom <4678>,

24But <1161> to those <846> who are called <2822>, both <5037> Jews <2453> and <2532> Greeks <1672>, Christ <5547> is the power <1411> of God <2316> and <2532> the wisdom <4678> of God <2316>.
25For <3754> the foolishness <3474> of God <2316> is <1510> wiser than <4680> human wisdom <444>, and <2532> the weakness <772> of God <2316> is stronger than <2478> human strength <444>.
26Think about the circumstances of your <5216> call <2821>, brothers and sisters <80>. Not <3756> many <4183> were wise <4680> by <2596> human standards <4561>, not <3756> many <4183> were powerful <1415>, not <3756> many <4183> were born to a privileged position <2104>.
27But <235> God <2316> chose <1586> what the world <2889> thinks foolish <3474> to <2443> shame <2617> the wise <4680>, and <2532> God <2316> chose <1586> what the world <2889> thinks weak <772> to <2443> shame <2617> the strong <2478>.
28God <2316> chose <1586> what is low <36> and <2532> despised <1848> in the world <2889>, what is regarded as nothing, to set aside <2673> what is regarded as something,
29so that <3704> no <3361> one can boast <2744> in his presence <1799>.
30He <846> is the reason you <5210> have a relationship with <1722> Christ <5547> Jesus <2424>, who <3739> became <1096> for us <2254> wisdom <4678> from <575> God <2316>, and <5037> righteousness <1343> and <2532> sanctification <38> and <2532> redemption <629>,
31so that <2443>, as <2531> it is written <1125>, “Let the one who boasts <2744>, boast <2744> in <1722> the Lord <2962>.”
